Project Case Study: Arcadis Northern Programmes

Client/Organisation: Arcadis

Supporting Arcadis as part of their Northern Programmes, PBH Planning successfully planned and delivered track access for almost 300 rail shifts across the North of England. The works covered Topographical Surveys and Ground Investigations at over 70 railway stations as part of the Northern Platforms Extension Project, a complex programme requiring precise coordination and strict compliance with Network Rail safety standards to ensure delivery.

Working across challenging operational environments, our planners managed all aspects of possession and line-block planning, Safe Work Pack (SWP) production, and stakeholder liaison to secure safe, efficient access. Through robust planning processes and clear communication, PBH maintained an excellent safety record throughout delivery, ensuring survey and ground investigation activities were completed on time, safely, and with minimal disruption to the operational railway
