Stirling, Dunblane, Alloa Electrification Project Surveys Download Brochure

Project Details

This work covers 4 ELR’s, with an overall route length of 28 miles. The scope of works involves Primary and Secondary control verification, Tertiary Control installation, coordination and topographical surveys throughout the entire limits. Laser scanning has been utilized to produce 3D point clouds of over bridges, signals, viaducts, railway stations and tunnels.

Further work awarded has been the setting out of OLE foundations and Asbuilt surveys of the installed foundations to ensure the correct orientation and position accurately matches the designs. PBH are working closely with the Construction contractor to manage the tight timescales from survey through design to installation. There are Seven stations within the survey that have required gauge clearance and Laser scanning surveys.

Access is extremely restrictive with only 3 hours working time midweek. PBH have recruited local survey teams to cater for the project which has reduced travel and hotel costs and allows us to effectively manage fatigue.
